Meghan Dickinson Bio
I was born and raised in Washington state. After graduating from high school, I got my first professional job as a dancer on Norwegian cruise lines. After that I moved to Las Vegas where I was a professional dancer for 8 years in various family friendly shows. I then met my husband, got married, and had two beautiful children. We had a quick year-long stay in Arizona with my husband’s job and then ended up in San Diego as our permanent residence. I continued teaching dance and gymnastics, and eventually started teaching barre, which fused my two passions quite well. My daughter is on the Starburst cheerleading team and my son is on the boy’s gymnastics team at Champion. This studio has done wonderful things for our children and I am so excited to contribute to all the wonderful parents of these athletes and start hitting some goals of our own. Can’t wait to meet you!
BARRE STRENGTH & FLEXIBILITY
Barre is a fusion of ballet, yoga, and strength. For this class we start out in the middle of floor with a 10-15 minute warm up that consists of weights, mat work, body weight work, and stretching. We will then move to the bar and work those legs, arms, and core muscles, while using the bar for stability. To finish off the class we will work the abs while including the ball and band in assisting us to get the best workout possible. This class is for any level. There will be modifications for all moves, and remember to take the class at your pace.
DANCE AND FITNESS
Ready to have some fun dancing, burning some calories, and hanging out with some great women! This is the place for you. In this class we will be working on some basic dance moves, and adding in that element of exercise to bring that heart rate up. No prior dance experience is needed. Just bring yourself and have a good time. Ages 14+
